Recorded live on November 2, 1994 at Finnboda, Stockholm.
Mixed and adapted at Studio Nybygget.
The sound source is a Cu-pipe (3.760x12 mm) conected to an amplifier.
The aim is to get a message through to the other side. The CD is dedicated to Elggren's aunt who had the gift of being able to fall asleep anywhere and anytime.

The basic sound material for the ten cobblestone songs on this CD is from one recording made while throwing a cobblestone (once!) on the street outside Firework Edition, Stockholm June 15, 2001. The title refers to a bronze sculpture by the Russian artist Ivan Shadr (1887-1941) called The Cobblestone Is The Weapon Of The Proletariat (1927).
In the booklet: a part of a conversation between Jim Haynes and Leif Elggren in relation to the Activating the Medium at SFMOMA, San Francisco February 2003.

"Oh yes, this eternal materialisation, this chance of a body, an opportunity. As I write this they report in the media that the population in Sweden has just become nine million bodies. Nine million bodies that come from where? From where? ? I remember that when my kids were big enough we could, in one way or another, communicate verbally. I used to ask them where they came from. ? Where do you come from? Do you know? Do you remember? I was wondering if they had some small reminiscences left, some small memories or so. They were still so close. So close to that incomprehensible. So close to that threshold just recently passed."
